CloudNine Launches Discovery Portal to Provide a Powerful Connector for Interoperability Across the eDiscovery Ecosystem

New platform enables seamless workflow between CloudNine technologies and integrated third-party providers

HOUSTON – May 4, 2021 – Today, eDiscovery technology leader CloudNine announced the release of Discovery Portal, a powerful new integration platform facilitating the interoperability of eDiscovery technologies across the EDRM spectrum. The CloudNine Discovery Portal provides a seamless connector between cloud and on-premise solutions, including CloudNine’s existing suite of eDiscovery software and third-party review products. The launch of Discovery Portal will empower legal and eDiscovery professionals to accelerate their discovery projects, safely and efficiently through a single, secure platform.

Integrations through Discovery Portal move data quickly and effectively across multiple platforms. Discovery Portal integrates on-premise CloudNine Explore™ to Relativity, enabling users to export data from Explore into Relativity automatically without manual exports and imports. Discovery Portal enables seamless transfer of clients’ native data to CloudNine Explore Cloud for processing, early case assessment (ECA), and loading to CloudNine Review™. Additionally, Discovery Portal enables transfers from CloudNine LAW™ to CloudNine Review, and from CloudNine Concordance® to CloudNine Review.

As a native file processing engine for ECA, Explore can process, search and filter data in place, without expansion and export data to Relativity via Discovery Portal. Since Explore’s data indexing mirrors the structure of Relativity’s destination folders, the data remains uniform and easy to find. As reported by many Explore customers, the efficiency and speed of the software provides significant cost and time savings over their previous processing resource by omitting irrelevant data production or running risks of producing privileged data.

Discovery Portal also allows users to transfer exports from CloudNine LAW processing, imaging and production software to CloudNine Review with a few clicks. Users can transfer their processed, exported data or transfer an export based on a filtered set of documents responsive to a search. Discovery Portal reduces steps and manual hand-offs when advancing responsive data from LAW to CloudNine Review.

Discovery Portal also provides capability to advance data from CloudNine Concordance to CloudNine Review. Concordance is a great tool for reviewing and producing documents. However, if a case requires access by several external parties or otherwise exceeds Concordance’s capacity, Discovery Portal offers a pathway to transfer a Concordance export to CloudNine Review. Then, the data will be available to any authorized user with an internet connection.

CloudNine Releases Substantial Update to Concordance Software Featuring New Viewer and Enhanced Performance to Greatly Improve Client Experience

New release is packed with customer-requested features including a modern, streamlined interface and accelerated production performance

HOUSTON – March 11, 2021 – CloudNine Concordance®, one of the most popular and enduring eDiscovery review platforms on the market, today released its most substantial update in five years.  The highly anticipated Concordance 10.24 release is packed with customer-requested features to improve the end-user experience for thousands of legal and eDiscovery professionals.  Highlights include a new Viewer, integration with CloudNine Review™, and improved production performance, providing customers with a more modernized, seamless workflow.

New Viewer – Concordance 10.24 delivers a new Viewer to support both native and image files efficiently.  The Viewer presents a modern user interface throughout the production and printing areas along with additional navigation options throughout the Viewer.  The Viewer supports additional file types including Microsoft Office files, Outlook MSGs, and other common file types through a near-native conversion.  Providing ultimate flexibility, Concordance clients can still use the former Viewer for legacy cases.  Clients can also choose to create new databases in either the new Viewer or the legacy Viewer, based on their preference.

Seamless Integration with CloudNine Review – Concordance now easily integrates with CloudNine Review.  Clients using both technologies can easily move between applications and transfer data using CloudNine’s Discovery Portal which will be officially released soon. Clients using Concordance for Quality Assurance (QA) can easily switch to CloudNine Review or vice versa.  Typically, CloudNine customers leverage hybrid data management including CloudNine Review for active matters and Concordance as an inexpensive, on-premise repository to store inactive and archived matters.

Improved Production and QA Capabilities – The updates to Concordance bring greater efficiency to eDiscovery production, printing and QA.  Additionally, this release enables color productions, production preview and supporting transparent and opaque redactions.  These performance enhancements are available for the new Concordance Viewer, Concordance Image, and Concordance Native Viewer databases.

Concordance 10.24 and its new Viewer are being well-received by customers and end-users including Nickie Maggard, Technical Trainer at Perspecta, a CloudNine partner. Release of CloudNine Explore 7.3 with Indexing and Search Enhancements
Marking its fourth enhancement release in 12 months, CloudNine Explore 7.3 includes enhanced search and filter capabilities.  Explore 7.3 also introduces multi-agent indexing to more quickly prepare data for searching and tagging.

Launch of CloudNine LAW 7.3 with New Turbo Import Options
LAW 7.3 is the product’s fourth enhancement within the past year.  LAW’s discovery data processing and production technology has improved Source Management for its Turbo Import engine.  eDiscovery professionals can now quickly sort, filter, and delete imported data sources from a central import interface.  Enhanced support is now available for scanning, image replacement load files, and raw image imports.   CloudNine will also be previewing a more updated look to LAW’s user interface.

CloudNine will also introduce the upcoming, data-driven Business Intelligence (BI) module available for LAW and Explore. This new BI solution will provide in-depth insight into single and cross-case transactions.

Release of CloudNine Concordance Desktop 1.08 with New Viewing Capabilities
The Concordance Desktop review platform has been updated with a new viewer to speed navigation within document collections, support color images, and enhance document markup support.  Print and production wizards provide a document preview function, and users can choose to print redactions as transparent or opaque.  Concordance Desktop supports both original and new viewers for greater flexibility.

New data extraction solution CloudNine Collection Manager will soon support single user collections from Office 365, tie extracted OneDrive attachments to source messages, and collect Calendar data.  Data Catalogue and Filtering Capability will allow organizations to inventory and organize data for selective processing and reporting, and repair corrupt container files.

Launch of Enhanced CloudNine Review: New Metadata Fields, Rule-Based Tagging and Document Navigation Options
One of several enhancements to CloudNine Review includes the ability to assign metadata fields to groups with visibility options and ordering across groups.  Also, new rule-based tagging extends tags to document families, and the Metadata pane includes more document navigation icons for greater efficiency.

CloudNine Launches Collection Manager, Breakthrough eDiscovery Data Extraction Solution for Office 365 Emails and OneDrive Files
